Job Summary
Full time post 37.5 hrs. Rolling 8 week rotas to meet need of service from 08:00-22:00. Will include bank holidays and weekends. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Emergency Department based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast paced, dynamic environment?
Responsibilities- To support the provision of an efficient reception / patient records / admin and clerical service within the operational services department.
- To ensure patient documents are prepared, updated and delivered to the ward in a timely manner.
- Provide information to patients, relatives and staff.
- Deal with telephone enquires promptly.
- To provide assistance and guidance to the patients/visitors on arrival to the Hospital.
- To contribute to a consistently high standard of patient care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- To ensure that data input is amended as necessary to comply with departmental target requirements.
- NHS software packages – Knowledge of e-Record System
- Keyboard skills with a sound knowledge of computers
- Good communication skills both written, verbal and telephone skills
- Experience working in a patient/public environment in an administration or clerical role
- Previous experience working within the NHS
- Good standard of English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent at grade 4 or above or equivalent level experience
- ECDL computer qualification (desirable)
