An opportunity has arisen for a full or part time reliable, motivated and flexible individual to join Community Services and be part of the Administration Team.
The post holder will be expected to work evenings and weekends up until 10pm, on a rota basis providing support to Community Nursing, working within the Single Point of Access Team based at Regent Point. The role will include receiving calls from patients, carers, relatives, Health Professionals and other service users.
The admin staff within this services work between 8am and 10pm on a rota basis including evening, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work alongside other clerical staff to evaluate and prioritise workload in a busy environment and respond to the constantly changing needs of the service users in line with local and national targets. They will provide a high standard of admin support to clinical staff handling telephone calls, using electronic health record Systm One and receiving requests from patients, carers, service users and Health professionals.

- To provide a high standard of support to Clinical staff handling telephone calls.
- To use an electronic referral process (Systm One) to ensure requests are responded to in a professional, confidential and efficient manner.
- To receive requests from patients and carers, acute hospitals, GP practices, Social Services and health care agencies.
- To communicate directly with members of the public and other services.
- To abide by Trust policies and procedures
- To be an effective part of the team contributing to the departmental objectives.
- Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other office duties as required e.g. general tidiness, pre-determined stock levels are met and equipment is clean, and stored correctly.

- Experience of working within a multi‑agency environment
- Good standard of General Education
- Experience of using Systm One IT package (training will be given)
- Awareness of NHS policies and procedures
- ECDL
