Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Occupational Health Technician – North East and Scotland

Join RPS as an Occupational Health Technician covering the North East and Scotland. You may be required to travel and stay overnight on a schedule that can change with notice. You will deliver a leading service by conducting health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, health promotion and more from client sites, mobile units or RPS Clinics.

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus overtime available.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Health Surveillance
  • Audiometry and Spirometry
  • Skin assessments and Hand Arm Vibration (Tier 1 &
    2)
  • Fitness for work medicals (e.g., driver, working at height, vision screening)
  • Drug & alcohol testing
  • Venepuncture
  • Wellbeing medical and health promotion
  • Drive a mobile screening unit nationwide (UK & Ireland)
Who We’re Looking For
  • Previous occupational health experience, including health surveillance and/or fitness for work medicals
  • Willingness to complete overnight stays and extensive travel across the UK
  • Full UK driving licence; ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
  • Competent IT user (MS Office and/or electronic medical records)
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
