There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Head Office located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a Senior FP&A Accountant to join the Group Finance Department.
The role of Senior FP&A Accountant will report to the Group Commercial Finance Director. The Senior FP&A Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes for the business. This position is responsible for delivering accurate forecasts, budgets, and insightful analysis to drive strategic decision-making and improve financial performanc

- Continually look to challenge existing reporting solutions and develop innovative and insightful new reports and analys

Assist in the expansion of the new data lake, ensuring new information is both accurate and available on-dema - nd.
Working cross-functional, support the rationalisation of reports across the busine - ss.
Manage ad hoc data requests, ensuring that data is collected, analysed and reported accurately and efficient - ly.
Partner with Heads of Department to provide ‘expert’ support in the analysis and interpretation of data within their functi - on.
Whilst working with Heads of Department, identify and implement efficiencies relating to the reporting of information within their functi - on.
Support the Regional Chair to understand regional performance and underlying tren - ds.
Assist in the management and preparation of the Group Annual Budg - et.
Work on adhoc projects as required, working both as part of a team and also independent - ly.
Identify risks and develop solutions to enhance the control environment both within the FP&A department and the wider Gro - up.
Support in the integration of new reporting software as required, including the introduction of a new BI soluti
- Post qualification experience, working in a reporting role at mid-management le
- vel.
Strong knowledge of VBA and / or SQL - Desira - ble.
Experience of developing dashboards in BI tools such as Microsoft Power
BI - Desira
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or C
- IMA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication s
- kills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and Power - Point.
Experience in developing and maintaining complex excel-based m - odels.
Methodical with a strong attention to d - etail.
