Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

An established and rapidly growing international consumer products business based in the North East is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to support the next phase of growth and operational development.

Operating across multiple international markets and retail channels, the business is entering an exciting period of expansion and requires a commercially focused finance professional to take ownership of financial operations while partnering closely with senior leadership.

This is a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys working within a fast paced SME environment where finance plays a central role in business decision making.

The Role
  • Ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
  • Maintain financial controls, compliance and governance processes
  • Support senior leadership with commercial analysis and strategic insight
  • Manage year end processes and external audit relationships
  • Oversee VAT, payroll and statutory reporting requirements
  • Improve financial processes, reporting accuracy and system efficiency
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams across the business
  • Support international trading activity and continued business growth
  • Lead and develop a small finance function
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Previous Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager experience
  • Background within SME, consumer products, retail, distribution or manufacturing environments advantageous
  • Commercially minded with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands on
  • Experience improving finance processes within a growing organisation
  • Motivated by working in an ambitious, evolving business environment
