The role:

We have an exciting brand new opportunity for a Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Partnership Recruitment team, playing a critical role in strengthening SJP’s national Partnership recruitment and retention capability. This role sits at the heart of our competitive intelligence activity. You will provide high quality and insightful intelligence across the experienced and trainee adviser markets, helping the business understand competitor propositions, adviser economics and wider industry trends.

Your work will directly support strategic decision making, recruitment conversations and long term retention outcomes.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Conducting in-depth research into competitor firms across the UK financial advice market, including academy models, experienced adviser propositions, remuneration structures and strategic direction
  • Producing clear, concise and actionable intelligence reports for a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Recruitment, Academy, Business Units and senior leadership
  • Developing and maintaining a national competitor intelligence database, incorporating financial comparisons, trend analysis, strengths, weaknesses and emerging risks
  • Delivering regular market and competitor updates through agreed channels such as bulletins, dashboards and internal communications
  • Building financial models to compare SJP’s adviser value proposition against competitor alternatives to support recruitment and retention activity
  • Partnering closely with Recruitment and Academy teams to provide insight, questioning frameworks and market intelligence that supports high-quality candidate conversations
  • Monitoring regulatory developments, industry news and macroeconomic trends, assessing their potential impact on adviser recruitment, retention and SJP’s proposition
  • Continuously refining research methodologies, analysis techniques and reporting processes to ensure SJP maintains a leading view of competitor activity

You enjoy turning data and research into meaningful insight and are confident presenting your findings to a range of audiences. You’ll be collaborative, credible and able to influence without authority, working across multiple teams to ensure intelligence is understood and acted upon. Strong judgement, attention to detail and the ability to challenge constructively.

Essential Criteria :
  • Experience gathering, analysing and interpreting market, competitor or financial data to produce actionable insight
  • Experience producing clear, structured analysis and communicating findings to non-technical team members
  • Experience using intelligence collection and analysis tools to make sense of unstructured data
  • Ability to build and maintain research frameworks, competitor comparisons and financial models
  • Experience using dashboards, databases or analytical tools to present insight at scale
Desirable Criteria:
  • Understanding of UK financial services or financial advice markets
  • Exposure to regulatory or governance considerations within financial services
