Sage Intacct Implementation Lead / Finance Systems Manager Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sage Intacct Implementation Lead to design, build, and deliver a core finance platform using Sage Intacct. This role will lead the end-to-end implementation lifecycle—from core finance engine build through UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support—ensuring a robust, well-controlled, and scalable financial system.
The role requires strong hands-on Sage Intacct expertise, deep finance systems knowledge, and the ability to work closely with Finance, Technology, and Business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Development Phase 1 – Core Finance Engine Build- Design and configure the core Sage Intacct finance engine, including:
- Chart of Accounts
- Journals
- Balances and core financial structures
- Ensure configuration aligns with accounting standards and business requirements
- Support and/or execute unit testing of the core finance setup
- Resolve configuration defects identified during testing
- Prepare and deliver internal demos of the core finance engine to stakeholders
- Lead the configuration and validation of Sage Intacct reporting capabilities, including:
- Standard financial reports
- Management and operational reporting
- Implement business controls within Intacct, including:
- Audit trails
- Role-based access and segregation of duties
- Support or oversee integrations between Sage Intacct and upstream/downstream systems
- Ensure reporting and controls meet audit, compliance, and business requirements
- Coordinate deployment of Sage Intacct into the UAT environment
- Support the creation, review, and approval of:
- UAT test plans
- Test scripts and scenarios
- Lead or support data migration trial runs and reconciliation
- Support UAT execution, including:
- Defect triage and resolution
- Maintenance of issue and defect logs
- Ensure all critical and major defects are resolved
- Support user sign-off and readiness assessment for go-live
- Lead final data migration and reconciliation activities
- Execute the agreed cutover plan
- Coordinate production deployment of Sage Intacct
- Produce and hand over service transition documentation, including:
- System configuration documentation
- Support and BAU runbooks
- Support onboarding of the BAU support team
- Provide hypercare support post go-live
- Support final acceptance, project closure, and lessons learned documentation
- Proven experience implementing Sage Intacct in a finance transformation or ERP programme
- Strong understanding of:
- Month-end close processes
- Experience with UAT planning, execution, and defect management
- Experience with data migration and reconciliation for finance systems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work across Finance, Technology, and Delivery teams
- Experience with system integrations involving Sage Intacct
- Accounting qualification or strong accounting background
- Experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments
- Previous involvement in go-live and hypercare phases for ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and controls
- Structured and methodical approach to delivery
- Comfortable operating hands-on while also leading stakeholders
- Able to translate finance requirements into system configuration
