Overview

Are you an experienced Financial Controller with a strong grounding in financial control and operational finance?

Are you confident leading the day to day finance function within a growing consumer goods business?

Macgregor Black are working with an ambitious and entrepreneurial SME Consumer Goods Brand to appoint a Financial Controller as part of a broader finance transformation.

This is a senior operational finance role with responsibility for financial control reporting and process ownership across the business. You will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in enabling scale and control.

• Own the month end close process ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Lead management accounts budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintain robust financial controls across inventory margin and working capital
• Oversee statutory compliance including VAT and year end accounts preparation
• Act as finance system owner driving ERP optimisation and process improvement
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to support performance
• Develop and mentor members of the finance team

• ACA ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller role within an SME environment
• Strong understanding of consumer goods business models
• Experience with D365 Finance ERP highly desirable
• Practical delivery focused leadership style
