The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for managing management accounting, reporting, and commercial finance activity, while ensuring the finance function runs smoothly and supports the wider business.

• Full ownership of monthly management accounts, including commentary, variance analysis, and performance insights
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Acting as the primary finance contact for senior stakeholders within the business
• Working closely with operational teams to understand margins, cost drivers, and operational risk
• Producing commercial analysis to support pricing, investment, and operational decisions
• Overseeing day to day finance activity alongside a small transactional finance team
• Monitoring working capital, including inventory, supplier payments, and cash flow trends
• Supporting the ongoing consolidation of multiple finance systems into a single streamlined platform
• Improving reporting processes, controls, and data quality
• Liaising with the external finance consultant on higher level or specialist finance matters

The business currently uses Xero and Bright Pay, with several systems in place that are being actively consolidated.

This role will suit a strong, commercially minded management accountant who is comfortable stepping into a senior, visible position within an SME environment.

• Qualified or qualified by experience management accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
• Strong experience producing management accounts and commercial reporting
• Comfortable operating as the most senior internal finance presence
• Confident working closely with operational and non finance stakeholders
• Experience improving finance processes, reporting, and systems
• Pragmatic, hands on approach suited to a growing business
• Manufacturing, product led, or D2C experience is beneficial but not essential
