Reporting directly to Cundall’s Finance Director, you will assume responsibility for the overall management of the monthly management accounting cycle for the UK operation, ensuring up‑to‑date information is available for review by the Finance Director ahead of Management Board meetings.
You will also take a lead in cash‑flow management and forecasting for the Practice, review accounting input from the Finance team, plan and manage the completion of all required budget and performance management tasks, and serve as a crucial point of contact for Partners regarding their partnership and personal tax affairs. You will build and maintain strong relationships with Partners and all internal and external stakeholders.
You will harness your excellent team management skills to ensure the effective operational performance of the Finance team, including resource/task allocation, team appraisals, and identification of ongoing training, performance management or recruitment needs.
The SkillsA fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA) with strong practical experience — preferably from a private practice, the Big 4 or a mid‑tier accountancy firm. You possess strong technical accounting skills, a track record in implementing and maintaining internal controls, experience with integrated management information / ERP systems, and exposure to finance and accountancy issues in an international business environment.
You have proven people‑management skills and excellent customer‑service standards, dealing professionally, confidently, and effectively with internal staff and external contacts and advisers. Experience of working with professional partnerships is desirable, as is experience in data systems and analytics.
