BIM Technical Solutions (BIMTS) is a specialist digital engineering team. BIMTS delivers 3D modelling, BIM coordination and digital engineering services both for TGA’s own projects and as a standalone service to external clients including contractors and other consultancies. This means our team works on a diverse range of projects, from heritage restorations to major new-build schemes and everything in between.

We are engineering-led, not just a modelling bureau. Our technicians work alongside experienced engineers, which means you will develop a genuine understanding of what you’re modelling and why it matters.

The Role

We are looking for Revit Technicians and Senior Revit Technicians to join the BIMTS team in our Newcastle and Stockton offices. You will produce and coordinate MEP building services models across a variety of project types and scales, working collaboratively with engineers, architects and contractors.

Day to day, your work will include:

• Producing coordinated 3D MEP models in Autodesk Revit
• Working from engineering design information to develop installation-ready models
• Clash detection and resolution in coordination with the wider design team
• Producing drawings, schedules and data outputs from models
• Supporting BIM deliverables including IFC exports and COBie data requirements where required
• Contributing to the development of templates, families and internal standards
• Working on both internal TGA projects and external commissions through BIMTS

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for MEP modelling
• An understanding of building services systems (mechanical, electrical or public health)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Familiarity with IFC exports and COBie data requirements
• Experience working on projects delivered under the UK BIM Framework (ISO 19650)
• Familiarity with BS EN ISO 19650 series and associated UK BIM Guidance
