System Engineer

Our client is a specialist engineering organisation supporting national security and defence customers with highly complex technical programmes. Their work spans sensors, communications, cyber and advanced electronics.

Due to sustained growth, they are expanding their delivery teams and are hiring Systems Engineers to support the development, integration and delivery of complex defence systems from concept through to trials and operational use.

You will play a key role in the delivery of complex defence systems, working across the full engineering lifecycle from requirements definition through system integration, verification and trials.

This is a hands-on, delivery focused role working closely with customers, project teams and multidisciplinary engineers to solve real world technical challenges. You will support system design decisions, manage requirements and interfaces, contribute to integration and testing activities, and help deliver robust solutions into operational environments.

The role involves close collaboration with hardware, software and integration teams, supporting technical reviews, resolving engineering challenges and ensuring systems meet customer needs.

• Experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, design, integration, verification or validation)
• Requirements capture, analysis or management experience
• Experience working on complex engineering systems in defence or safety critical environments
• Understanding of system integration across hardware, software or embedded systems
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and engage with technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting delivery, testing, trials or customer acceptance activities
