Mechanical Bias Engineer – CBRE Newcastle
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our team in Newcastle, England, United Kingdom.
Role Summary- Ensure that domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
- Ensure that planned and routine maintenance is carried out to all heating & air‑conditioning plant to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to other site plant as required.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records in the form of “Frontline” task sheets.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
- Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE Managed Services staff and clients.
- Provide a safe & healthy working environment, complying with all Company policies and client site policies.
- Present a professional image of CBRE Managed Services to clients and visitors and deliver and promote excellence in customer service at all times.
- Maintain professional and technical skills through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.
- Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with flexibility.
- On‑call schedule available.
- Experience maintaining pumps, motors and valves.
- Experience operating cooling towers.
- Domestic and commercial plumbing knowledge.
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
- Time‑served plumber to NVQ Level 2/3.
- Basic IT skills.
