Overview

Our client is a well-established British engineering and environmental consultancy with a strong presence across the UK, delivering multidisciplinary services to a wide range of infrastructure, development and environmental projects. With a reputation for technical excellence and sustainable design, their Newcastle office is continuing to grow, and they are seeking to add a talented Geoenvironmental Engineer to their expanding team.

In this role, you will support the geotechnical and design teams by contributing to geoenvironmental assessments, ground investigation projects, and interpretative reporting. You will be responsible for the preparation of technical reports, data analysis, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality design solutions across a range of infrastructure and environmental schemes. Given the diverse nature of our client project portfolio, you must be prepared to adapt and cover multiple project types at the same time.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare geoenvironmental assessments, ground investigation projects, and interpretative reporting.
  • Prepare technical reports, perform data analysis, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality design solutions across infrastructure and environmental schemes.
  • Adapt to a diverse project portfolio and cover multiple project types concurrently.
Qualifications
  • 3–8 years’ experience in geoenvironmental engineering.
  • Relevant degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven consultancy experience working on geoenvironmental or geotechnical projects.
  • Strong report writing and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience conducting or managing site investigations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must be based in, or within a commutable distance of, Newcastle.
