Geotechnical Engineer – Newcastle
Salary: £35,000
Location:
Newcastle
A new opportunity has opened for a Geotechnical Engineer in Newcastle. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects, both on site and in the office, gaining exposure to different ground conditions and sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established, multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy specialising in civil, structural, and environmental engineering.
Responsibilities- Ground investigation design
- Phase 1 desk studies
- Interpretative report writing
- Carrying out geotechnical risk assessments
- Soil sampling and groundwater monitoring
- Liaising directly with clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
- Degree in civil engineering or geology
- Experience with in ground investigation
- Live within a commutable distance of the Newcastle office
- Full UK driving licence
