Environmental Water Quality Consultant​/Senior Consultant; Riverine Modelling

Responsibilities

• Delivery of technically sound quantitative models to support wider project delivery.
• Author and reviewer of technical evidence‑led reports, ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes.
• Provide timely technical input and expertise to multidisciplinary projects and programmes of work.
• Build client relationships and continuously develop services across the UK and the water sector.
• Mentor junior staff and strengthen relationships with other disciplines.

• Degree qualified in a relevant field, with postgraduate qualifications and/or experience within the water industry.
• Working towards or already a chartered member of a relevant professional institution.
• Working experience with at least one type of water quality modelling software (e.g., MIKE, Delft3D, SAGIS‑SIMCAT, RQP) and demonstrable application in inland systems (physicochemical, biological, bacterial, or chemical parameters).
• Basic understanding of physicochemical water quality and associated regulatory standards for freshwater.
• Background or understanding of the regulated water industry and/or catchment and nature‑based solutions is advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder liaison skills, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary staff.
