Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School (NE30 Area, Near Tynemouth Beach & Metro Station)

Location: NE30 area, near Tynemouth Beach, with easy access to Metro and bus routes.

Do you thrive on building positive relationships with young people? A secondary school near Tynemouth Beach is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support students in overcoming challenges and reaching their full potential.

The Role:

Work with students to improve behaviour, confidence, and engagement.
Help implement behaviour support plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for students struggling with school life.
Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies.

What We’re Looking For:

A passion for working with young people and making a difference.
Previous experience in schools, youth work, or a mentoring role (desirable).
A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
