Health & Social Care Teacher – Newcastle-under-Lyme – ASAP Start

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity?

Academics are working with a well-respected secondary school in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area to appoint a committed teacher who can inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5. This is a full-time, fixed-term role starting as soon as possible and running until Christmas 2025, with the potential for extension.

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS4 and KS5.
• Support students in developing both academic understanding and practical insight into the health and social care sectors.
• Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that encourages progress and independence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to department success.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Health & Social Care or Child Development up to KS5.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one (can be processed through Academics).

• Competitive daily rate of £150-£230, paid to you weekly (dependent on experience).
• Support from a dedicated consultant who specialises in school support roles.
• A referral scheme, paying up to £125 for every successful recommendation.
