Are you a supportive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant ready to make a real difference in the classroom?

Schools in Newcastle and GSL Education are hiring a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide academic and pastoral support to students.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to help students engage with lessons, understand tasks, and build confidence in their learning. You will support pupils with varying needs, ensuring they feel included, encouraged, and motivated throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students during lessons and small group activities.
• Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
• Provide additional help to pupils who need extra guidance.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

Requirements of Learning Support Assistant:

• Previous experience in a school or support-based role.
• A patient, flexible, and positive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding practices.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
