Freelance Knitwear Designer

Are you passionate about creating innovative and stylish knitwear that sets trends and captivates consumers? We are currently seeking a talented Freelance Knitwear Designer to collaborate with our clients growing team on an ongoing, project-based basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading retailers, contributing to high-profile collections while maintaining the flexibility and autonomy of freelance work.

• Developing original knitwear design concepts aligned with brand identity, customer profile, and market trends.
• Creating seasonal colour palettes, detailed sketches, CADs, and technical design packs for ladies wear knitwear collections.
• Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure designs are commercially viable and production ready.
• Researching and interpreting current and emerging fashion trends, translating them into commercially successful knitwear ranges.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering to agreed deadlines and client briefs.
• Providing clear and professional communication throughout the development process.

• Strong knitwear expertise within ladies wear, with a keen eye for detail, yarn selection, and garment construction.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end production process.
• Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing workload independently.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships remotely.
• A creative and commercial mindset, with strong trend awareness and forecasting ability.
• Flexible and willing to travel occasionally for supplier meetings, trend research, or fittings if required.
