Registered Building Inspector

Interim Class 2A+ Building Control Surveyor 📍 North East ⏳ 3-Month Rolling Contract (High Likelihood of Extension) 💷 Up to £55 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2B+ Building Control Surveyor for an interim opportunity based in the North East. This is an initial 3‑month contract, with a strong view to extension due to ongoing workload.

This is a hybrid role offering a balanced mix of site and home-based work:

• 4 days per week carrying out site inspections
• Opportunity to move to full‑time working depending on service needs

• Carrying out site inspections across a range of building types
• Assessing compliance with Building Regulations
• Plan checking and providing technical advice
• Liaising with applicants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring works meet statutory and safety standards

• Must be Class 2A+ registered with the BSR
• Proven experience within Building Control
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation
• Ability to work autonomously in an interim capacity
• Full UK driving licence (due to site visits)

• Competitive rate of up to £55 per hour
