Building Regulations Consultant

A well-established, forward-thinking consultancy is looking for a Building Regulations Consultant to join their Newcastle team. This is a key hire, created to support the delivery of a wide portfolio of complex projects across the UK.

Their work spans commercial, residential, education, government, heritage and leisure schemes, including several high-rise developments nationwide. While many of their projects are London based, this role is fully Newcastle based. Travel is minimal and site visits are only required occasionally.

You will join a structured, collaborative team of around fifteen, including four experienced Principal Designers. Working closely with senior staff, you will help guide projects through the Gateway 2 process, with full training and support where needed. Over time, you will take the lead on major developments valued from £20M upwards.

You will ideally have experience in Building Regulations, Building Control or a related discipline, with a good understanding of compliance, design and safety. A proactive approach and strong communication skills will help you thrive in this role.
