Are you a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse looking for a full-time role that truly values work-life balance? Do you enjoy supporting young children during their most important early years and helping them learn through play?
Humly is working closely with a warm, welcoming nursery in Jesmond that operates a 4-day working week, offering longer days so staff can enjoy an extra day off every week. The nursery is now seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their supportive team on a long-term basis.
The RoleAs a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within a safe, nurturing early years environment. You ll work closely with colleagues to create engaging, child-centred experiences that support each child s individual needs.
Key Responsibilities- Child Development:
Support children s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework - Care & Wellbeing:
Provide high-quality care, ensuring children feel safe, happy, and supported - Play-Based Learning:
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play - Inclusion:
Support children with additional needs and promote an inclusive environment - Behaviour & Emotional Support:
Encourage positive behaviour and support children s social and emotional development - Learning Environment:
Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming nursery setting - Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with nursery practitioners, room leaders, and management - Safeguarding:
Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children at all times
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting (desirable)
- A positive, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for early years education
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
- Competitive hourly pay of £13.68 - £14.50, paid weekly
