Senior/Account Manager | Publishing & Print Sales

Are you an experienced publishing sales/production professional looking to drive growth across publishing and print sales as well as expand your creative influence?

Our partner

Our partner is a well-established publishing and print specialist supporting UK publishers and packaging clients with high-quality print, design and manufacturing solutions. Working closely with trusted global production partners, they deliver expertise across publishing, packaging and creative print services. Their approach combines commercial focus, production knowledge and long-term client partnerships within a collaborative, values-led culture.

Our partner is looking to shape a role and responsibilities for the right level of candidate, so strong candidates may have different levels of experience. The right candidate will either be experienced enough or able to grow quickly into a senior sales role, which may include deputising for the Sales & Publishing Director.

A flexible hybrid working pattern centered in Hampshire, may particularly suit a candidate with easy access to the south of England.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of publisher and print accounts, driving profitable sales growth in line with agreed targets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within publishing, packaging and print services.
  • Build strong, consultative client relationships, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
  • Prepare quotations, support pricing discussions and negotiate commercial terms on print projects.
  • Work closely with internal teams and global production partners to deliver high-quality print solutions, while maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role

To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience in sales, account management or business development within publishing, print or a closely related sector. You will be commercially astute, detail-focused and confident in understanding print production sales solutions.

  • Experience with in publishing, print or packaging, gained in sales, account management, production or business development roles.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple print projects and priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in discussing pricing and project scope with clients.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider sales team.
  • Track record of working with / growing high-value accounts.
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms and managing margins
  • Knowledge of international print manufacturing and supply chains.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
