Main duties of the jobWorking on one of the Outpatient Reception areas within the Dental Hospital, checking patients in for appointments and scheduling new appointments.
Answering a high volume of telephone calls. Ensuring all patient notes are available for their appointments.
Providing administrative support to the service.

- Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI)
- Freeman Hospital
- Newcastle Dental Hospital
- Newcastle Fertility Centre
- Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
- Northern Genetics Service
To provide an efficient and effective administrative service to patients and the multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications- GCSE in English Grade C or equivalent or
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- ECDL
- RSA 1 or 2 or equivalent
- Very good keyboard skills
- Good communication, organisational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritise workload
- Excellent telephone manner
- Previous experience in a customer care role within an office based environment
- Working within NHS or hospital environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PAS / eRecord
