We are delighted to be recruiting for an Audit Senior to join a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA / ACCA professional looking to take the next step in their career with a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

• You will play a key part in the delivery of audit and assurance services for a wide-ranging portfolio of clients across different industries.
• Lead audit fieldwork and perform substantive and analytical testing
• Plan and complete audit assignments, ensuring files are fully documented for review
• Prepare statutory financial statements under UK GAAP / IFRS
• Identify risk areas and flag matters of concern to Managers and Partners
• Build client relationships and provide a high-quality service
• Support, coach and mentor junior team member

• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
• Experience working in audit within a UK accountancy practice
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• A collaborative team player with good communication skills
• Enjoys building client relationships and supporting junior colleagues

• Salary £38,000 – £46,000 depending on experience

Location

This role is based in Newcastle and is easily commutable from Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, and Cramlington by public transport.
