Audit Senior - Newcastle
We are looking for an Audit Senior to join our team in Newcastle. The role involves managing day‑to‑day audit work, flagging issues early, training assistants, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, and presenting a substantially complete audit file.
Responsibilities- Complete audit planning documentation.
- Arrange timing of audit work with the Audit Manager responsible for the client.
- Brief, train and debrief Audit Assistants, giving formal feedback as required.
- Liaise with client staff while on site, building effective relationships.
- Monitor budgeted versus actual time, flag scope issues, on‑site issues, and overruns to the Audit Manager promptly.
- Keep client staff informed of progress and issues while maintaining confidentiality.
- Audit draft tax computation and tax provisions with supporting schedules, liaise with tax staff to get them reviewed.
- Prepare draft financial statements to a reasonable standard, free from quality control issues.
- ICAEW / ICAS / ACCA part‑qualified or fully‑qualified.
- Leader in your work and professional learning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
- Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred.
- Good organisational skills.
- Pro‑active approach to your work.
