Office Manager – Financial Planning & Wealth Management
Location:
Newcastle‑under‑Lyme, England, United Kingdom.
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum.
We are looking for an experienced Office Manager with a background in financial advisory to support our operations team and Directors in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day business running. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for escalated issues and will support resolution, manage a team of IFA support staff, and uphold operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Handle escalated client experience issues and liaise with directors for resolution.
- Ensure all client requests are dealt with professionally, delivering a positive experience for clients.
- Partner with HR to instill a culture of performance management, setting clear objectives and encouraging regular appraisal of team members.
- Act as escalation point for all staff and assist managers in identifying and resolving issues.
- Maintain awareness of operational, regulatory and conduct risk, reporting any risk to the line manager.
- Keep all back‑office systems and procedures up to date and ensure staff use systems effectively.
- Manage staff workloads and day‑to‑day task allocation.
- Deliver training on processes and procedures for internal data management.
- Oversee office facilities management.
- Work with Directors to maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including logistics management.
- Line‑manage support staff.
- Experience in office management or senior IFA administration within an independent financial advice business.
- Experience dealing with third‑party providers.
- Proven experience within Financial Services.
- Confidential, reliable and trustworthy.
- Ability to influence, persuade and build good relationships at all levels.
- Self‑motivation, resilience and a strong focus on attention to detail and high‑quality output.
- Ability to work collaboratively with first‑line managers and build strong relationships and networks.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong time‑management and positive outlook.
- Understanding and knowledge of Compliance requirements and FCA guidelines.
