Supercar Mechanic

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30

Don Law Racing, a family‑run business specialising in the iconic Jaguar XJ220 supercar, is looking for an experienced Supercar Mechanic to join our expert team. We are passionate about precision, performance, and maintaining some of the most renowned supercars in the world. If you have a deep understanding of high‑performance vehicles and a passion for motor sport, we want to hear from you.

• Perform in‑depth diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on the Jaguar XJ220 and other high‑performance supercars.
• Work on engine, transmission, suspension, and brake systems, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
• Undertake race preparations, including mechanical tuning and performance optimisation for events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues in high‑performance vehicles.
• Ensure all work complies with the highest safety and quality standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, upgrades, and maintenance performed.
• Collaborate closely with the team to optimise vehicle performance.
• Occasionally assist with car cleaning and detailing to maintain the pristine condition of the supercars.

• Proven experience as a mechanic, with specialised expertise in high‑performance and luxury vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electronics.
• Experience working on supercars or exotic vehicles is highly preferred (e.g. Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.).
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
• Passion for motor sport and high‑performance cars.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, close‑knit team.
