Aboutthe Opportunity
The Continuous Improvement Technician supports the Kaizen Promotion Office by performing hands‑on shop floor Kaizen activities and a variety of Lean‑focused tasks. This role helps drive a safe, efficient, and effective Lean operation through our Pursuit Production System model.
Location:
Newburyport, MA. This position is 100% onsite.
- Works with all functional departments and responds to continuous improvement requests.
- Manages independent improvement projects as assigned.
- Supports Supervisors, Team Leaders and Associates in applying Lean principles.
- Assists in developing Work Instructions, Daily Management tools, 6 Sigma materials and TPM documents.
- Assists in designing and fabricating fixtures and equipment using Creform tubing and other materials.
- Contributes to the completion of Kaizen Newspaper action items.

- Demonstrates all Core Competencies, including Communication, Teamwork, Achieving Results, Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Judgment.
- High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated success in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with Solid Works and Bambu Studio or other 3D printing software.
- Ability to mentor and support Lean culture adoption at varying levels of acceptance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $20–24 hourly. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
