* Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Utilizes critical thinking skills and the teaching of evidence-based practice.
* Utilizes Standard Universal Precautions.
* Advocates for patients and families to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
* Documents all changes as well as relevant information regarding patient’s response to intervention, therapeutic regimens, and patient progress as it relates to plan of care and patient’s response to teaching.
* Responds to patient needs in a timely manner, including answering call lights.
* Considers the impact of a critical illness and the critical care environment on the patient and family.
* Completes admission and on-going assessments based on patient needs within appropriate time frame.
* Demonstrates clinical competency and follows standards of care, policies and procedures.
* Continually insures patient safety by compliance with, but not limited to, hospital policies and procedures, HIPPA, the Joint Commission Patient Safety Goals and Universal protocol.
* Acts in accordance with Critical Care Nursing Standards.
* Utilizes appropriate clinical decisions in a rapidly changing environment.
* Monitors hemodynamic status.
* Demonstrates clinical proficiency in caring for the critically ill patient.
* Responds appropriately in an emergency situation.
** Scheduled

Hours:

** 36 hr/wk, rotating weekend/holiday coverage.

* Work Shift:

** Night – 7p – 7a
*
* Education Required:

** Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
** Licenses, Registrations, Certifications

Required:

*** State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility)
* BLS* ACLS
*
* Experience:

** Previous experience in critical care preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred.

**** Pay Range:**$35.85 – $77.82

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.##
