Job Description

Summary:

The Roofing Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of roofing operations within a dynamic construction environment. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day roofing activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will lead a team of roofing technicians, coordinate with project managers and subcontractors, and maintain strong communication across all levels of the organization.

As a key driver of operational efficiency and project success, the Roofing Manager ensures that roofing systems are installed correctly, durable, and aligned with architectural and structural specifications. This role offers a unique opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on leadership experience in a high-demand segment of the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate roofing crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess roofing conditions, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review roofing material estimates, schedules, and work plans in coordination with project managers.
  • Ensure all roofing installations meet quality benchmarks and are aligned with design specifications and client requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of work progress, material usage, labor hours, and safety incidents.
  • Train and mentor junior roofing technicians on proper techniques, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges and ensure seamless integration of roofing systems.
  • Implement and enforce OSHA and company safety policies to maintain a zero-incident worksite.
  • Report project status, risks, and budget updates to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Respond promptly to weather-related disruptions and adjust work plans accordingly to minimize delays.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification in roofing or construction technology is highly preferred.
  • 0–1 year of hands-on experience in roofing installation, maintenance, or construction site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials (e.g., shingles, metal, membrane, tile) and installation techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using basic construction tools and equipment (e.g., roofing nails, torches, lift systems).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as project demands require.

On-site construction locations across ${Project Location}, with exposure to outdoor elements and moderate physical exertion. Safety gear and protective equipment are required at all times.
