Corporate Tax Manager - Newbury

Clark Wood have been instructed on a Managerial level opportunity - for a nationally recognised large regional firm in Newbury - which offers the chance to focus on interesting and challenging compliance and advisory work for a mixed portfolio OMB and SME tax clients.

The main client base for this role would be SMEs & OMBs and some international groups in Newbury and wider Berkshire and Hampshire region.

• CTA or ATT Qualified experienced Assistant Manager or current Manager from a small, mid-tier or large firm, who has experience managing a department and also a large complex portfolio of tax clients.
• Good technical skills and experience, and a thorough understanding of UK tax issues.
• Experience with in an Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager level role.
• Proven track record of Business Development.
• CTA / ACA Qualified.

• Provide high level compliance but also advisory / planning services with a great deal of autonomy.
• Business development and networking: develop client services and grow tax portfolio.
• Increase awareness & exposure of the firm's tax services.
• Deal with a broad range of business and corporate tax issues, business reorganisations, reconstructions and demergers, share schemes and EIS/SEIS, R&D tax credits, M&A, acquisitions, disposals, exit planning and succession planning.

This Newbury office is commutable from areas all across the Berkshire and Hampshire regions;
Basingstoke, Andover, Reading, Theale, Hungerford, Swindon etc.
