Our client is looking for 2 Service Now Technical Architects to work on a 3-6 month Outside IR35 contract. Candidates would need to be onsite 2-3 days per week in Newbury, offering £375-£400 per day.
Job SummaryService Now Technical Architect to oversee the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of Service Now solutions across the enterprise. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring that the Service Now platform is optimized, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The Tech Architect is responsible for architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders while mentoring designers, team members and driving best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical design and delivery of complex Service Now implementations and enhancements.
- Partner with product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to Service Now developers, administrators, and engineers across multiple projects.
- Drive the adoption of platform governance, security, and development standards.
- Oversee the implementation of core and advanced Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, GRC, Sec Ops, etc.).
- Lead the design of integrations with external systems (REST, SOAP, APIs, LDAP, SSO, etc.).
- Ensure platform stability, performance, scalability, and compliance.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and performance challenges.
- Mentor, coach, and conduct technical reviews for development teams.
- Stay current on Service Now roadmap, new releases, and industry best practices, advising leadership on strategic platform improvements.
- 12+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years of Service Now development/engineering experience.
- Proficient in Service Now ITSM Module.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams on large‑scale Service Now programs.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Glide), Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and advanced configuration.
- Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM frameworks and their application within Service Now.
- Strong knowledge of CMDB design, service mapping, and Service Now capabilities.
- Experience with enterprise integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, SSO, LDAP, etc.).
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
