What You’ll Do
  • Administer and support Vodafone’s Core Cloud critical applications, focusing on troubleshooting, fault handling, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with 3rd‑party vendors to resolve issues within expected time frames and perform daily monitoring and health checks.
  • Implement automated incident detection and optimise system monitoring.
  • Participate in new projects by providing input, implementing improvements, and verifying configuration changes and work instructions.
  • Interact with customer technical staff, NOC engineers, operations managers, and Service Delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with network/service designers to define orchestration application requirements.
  • Design and implement automation tools to streamline processes and enhance integration.
  • Apply workflow management and service model definition, leveraging TMF and IETF standards for L2/IP VPN services.
  • Work with suppliers, architects, and designers to align orchestration solutions with Vodafone OSS architecture.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of orchestration processes, workflows, and configurations.
  • Continuously improve orchestration solutions by staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Support Network Function Virtualised Infrastructure, including both service and hardware elements (specialising in VMware, HPE, Dell, Ericsson CNIS).< /li>
  • Maintain domain infrastructure lifecycle for service availability and performance through proactive assurance.
  • Restore infrastructure to normal service efficiently and safely.
  • Assist with new service introductions and infrastructure changes.
  • Provide customer‑focused, professional service at all times.
  • Work primarily on business‑as‑usual tasks under strict SLAs.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation, supporting the core network year‑round and providing technical leadership during fault situations.
  • Manage and support mixed environments (VMware vSphere, Tanzu, NSX).
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of storage, SAN, networking, and cloud infrastructure (including L2/L3 routing protocols).
  • Perform troubleshooting, incident management, and error handling for cloud platforms.
  • Coordinate change management, fault management, and service request processes with design/delivery teams.
  • Discuss platform evolution with vendors and design teams.
  • Implement security policies and remediate vulnerabilities according to best practices and company procedures.
  • Conduct periodic monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and trend analysis.
  • Maintain operational readiness and disaster recovery, attending DR tests and updating policies as needed.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and foster team collaboration.
  • Organise and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Be a member of the 24x7x365 on‑call rotation.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years experience working in a large, enterprise environment focused on problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analysis.
  • Good knowledge of Mobile Networks.
  • Knowledge of Cloud, CAAS/IAAS technologies.
  • Working experience on VMware and Ericsson CNIS.
  • Working knowledge of Storage, SAN, Network IP and layer 2.
  • Good knowledge of automation solutions (Ansible, Git, Python).
