Direct Managed Account Officer; Childrens Services

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting individuals to manage their own care through Direct Payments? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Direct Payment Manged Accounts Officer to join our Social Care Team, working alongside the Direct Payment Team to provide essential support to parents with children with disabilities.

• Processing and managing requests for reimbursement of expenses incurred by Direct Payment users.
• Providing advice and guidance to Direct Payment users on the management of their payments and financial responsibilities.
• Working collaboratively with the Direct Payment Team to ensure effective delivery of services to users.
• Conducting regular reviews of Direct Payment arrangements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Maintaining accurate records and data entry using appropriate systems.

• Experience working in a similar role, with knowledge of Direct Payments and associated legislation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users and colleagues.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work independently, using initiative to solve problems, as well as part of a team.
