Join our Passionate Equine Nursing Team in Berkshire. We’re a busy equine referral hospital based in Newbury, West Berkshire, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Equine Nurse to join our growing team.

Our hospital has been a trusted part of the equine community for decades, caring for horses of all types, from racehorses and competition horses to foals and beloved family ponies. With two additional branch practices in Thatcham and Tadley, we support a large and varied client base, meaning no two days are ever the same.

As part of our nursing team, you’ll play a key role in caring for both medical and surgical patients, assisting with anaesthesia, and ensuring the smooth journey of every patient from admission to discharge. You’ll also take part in nurse consults and provide exceptional support to clients, helping them feel confident and informed throughout their horse’s care. Our nurses enjoy a wide variety of responsibilities from inpatient care and wound management to assisting in theatre, administering medications, and supporting diagnostic imaging both in the hospital and out on the road.

We’re looking for someone confident and compassionate, with experience handling and caring for a wide range of horses. Previous experience with racehorses, competition horses, or foals would be an advantage, but above all, we’re seeking a team player with a genuine passion for equine nursing and patient welfare.

This is a full-time position, working up to 39 hours per week, with participation in the weekend and bank holiday rota. The role includes some shift work, covering nights and weekends, ensuring our patients receive the best care around the clock. Our hospital is fully equipped for imaging and surgery at any time of day or night, with facilities including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound with colour Doppler, endoscopy, arthroscopy, operating microscope, microsurgical equipment, slit lamp, and tonovet.
