We are seeking a Trainee Electrical Engineer to join a specialist team delivering electrical trace heating systems for industrial, commercial and energy sector clients. Working closely with the Installation Manager, this is a hands-on role where you'll be trained to install, maintain, and support trace heating systems across a variety of sites.
Day to day tasks will include:
- Installing, commissioning and servicing electrical trace heating systems.
- Reading and working from technical drawings, schematics and circuit designs.
- Carrying out site surveys, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues on-site.
- Liaising directly with customers, engineers and project managers to keep installations running smoothly.
- Maintaining high safety standards at all times.
We'd like to hear from candidates with:
- Working towards HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of electrical engineering/installation/maintenance.
- Interested in/willingness to learn trace heating systems (full training provided)
- Ideally 1+ years' experience on site working with industrial, commercial or energy sector electrical installations or maintenance.
- Comfortable reading schematics, drawings and applying circuit design knowledge.
- Flexible approach - happy to work site hours and occasional weekends where required.
- Safety-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills, able to work in a small team and engage directly with clients.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commutable distance to Newbury, Berkshire
