About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Used Car Controller to lead the used car operation at our Newbury dealership. This is a key role within the sales management team, responsible for stock performance, pricing, and profitability while supporting and developing the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all aspects of the used car department

* Manage stock levels, days in stock, and vehicle turn

* Price vehicles competitively in line with the local market

* Carry out accurate vehicle appraisals

* Maximise margin and profitability on all used car sales

* Support, coach, and motivate the sales team

* Drive finance, warranty, and add-on product penetration

* Work closely with Aftersales to manage preparation times and costs

* Ensure FCA compliance and company processes are followed

* Maintain high standards of vehicle presentation and forecourt display

* Review performance through reports, KPIs, and market data

About You

* Proven experience as a Used Car Controller or strong Senior Sales Executive ready to step up

* Strong commercial and stock management skills

* Confident appraising vehicles and closing deals

* Target-driven with leadership ability

* Organised, professional, and customer-focused

* FCA accredited (or willing to complete)

* Full UK driving licence
