Our Thatcham based client are excited to be recruiting for a new position within the business as a Stock Control Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating and resolving discrepancies, performing quality control checks, and supporting overall operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the role and its functions as part of the team's development, as well as being instrumental in the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct daily cycle checks of SKU inventory
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Monitor internal transfers and inventory movements
- Respond to customer queries regarding stock
- Perform quality control checks on inbound and outbound goods
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records
- Participate in regular stocktakes
- Perform data entry tasks and update inventory systems
- Monitor and replenish consumables
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and standards
- Previous experience in inventory control within a warehouse environment is beneficial
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Comfortable working at height
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
- Knowledge of workplace Health & Safety regulations
- Innovative and focused on continuous improvement
- Experience operating scissor lifts is a plus (training will be provided)
