The Material Handler 4 is an individual contributor who is responsible for transporting products and materials within the manufacturing areas and maintaining material storage as directed by manufacturing and inventory control procedures. This position will also perform miscellaneous material handling as needed.

• Transport products and materials within the manufacturing areas and maintain material storage as directed by manufacturing and inventory control procedures.
• Perform miscellaneous material handling as needed.
• Supply manufacturing workstations with materials from storage inventory locations.
• Locate and gather parts.
• Place materials in their proper storage inventory location.
• Write part descriptions and quantity on outer boxes, as needed.
• Receive incoming material shipments.
• Load and unload trucks, as needed.
• Report material damages to Lead, Shift Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, and/or Plant Manager.
• Verify material and product inventory levels.
• Report material shortages to Lead, Shift Supervisor, and/or Manufacturing Manager.
• Support improvement efforts and seek continuous improvements within the Production department.
• If applicable based on location, use overhead crane to load/unload machinery.
• Other duties as required and/or assigned.

• Minimum 1-year on-the-job experience operating a forklift within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
