Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Part‑Time Maintenance Technician to assist with general maintenance and repair tasks for a small apartment community located in Newberg.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, air filters, and minor plumbing repairs
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that apartment turns are completed timely
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during scheduled on‑call periods
- Maintain property curb appeal, including keeping exterior areas clean and presentable
- Ensure grounds are properly maintained, including trash removal, minor landscaping, and upkeep of common areas
- Conduct property inspections to identify repair and safety needs
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance areas and equipment
- Assist with painting, drywall repair, and general upkeep projects
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with the property manager, team members, and residents
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0–2 years of maintenance or related experience (entry‑level candidates encouraged to apply)
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to respond promptly to on‑call service requests
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems
- Previous experience in facilities, property management, or construction
- OSHA safety training
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Physical activity, including walking, climbing ladders, bending, and lifting
