Catering & Events Supervisor
Location: Friendsview
Schedule: Full Time (days, evenings, weekends & holidays as needed)
Pay: $21.11 - $24.55/hr.

What You’ll Do Event & Catering Leadership- Oversee all catering operations under the Dining Services Director
- Create catering contracts & manage event logistics
- Meet with department leaders to plan layouts, décor & last‑minute changes
- Supervise catering staff during events (you set the tone!)
- Ensure food safety, presentation, portion control & serving temps are on point
- Assemble, deliver & serve food and beverages at scheduled locations
- Manage POS system, billing & staff training
- Design signage, centerpieces, and table décor (yes, your creative side matters!)
- Recruit, orient & train catering staff
- Coach team members—many entering the workforce for the first time
- Participate in performance reviews
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, healthy workplace culture
- Lead with patience, empathy, and accountability
- Maintain sanitation & organization of equipment and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety laws & HIPAA privacy standards
- Safely lift/carry heavy objects (with support or equipment as needed)
- Drive as necessary for catering events
- 2+ years in restaurant, catering, or dining services
- 1+ year catering experience
- Food handler card (or ability to obtain one)
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen & employment verification
- Supervisory experience
- Strong Microsoft Office & POS system skills
- Calm under pressure in high‑volume settings
- Organized, deadline‑driven & detail‑obsessed
- Strong communicator (with guests, staff & leadership)
- Comfortable handling cash & working with numbers
- Culturally aware & inclusive in your leadership style
