Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher to manage daily transportation operations for a fleet of approximately 25 trucks. This role is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, managing driver schedules, maintaining load board activity, and ensuring accurate communication with customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and dispatch outbound loads while optimizing routes and schedules for approximately 25 trucks and drivers.

  • Manage daily trucking logistics, including driver communication, load assignments, and real-time issue resolution.

  • Provide customer service support (CSR) by communicating shipment status, responding to inquiries, and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Maintain accurate database entries and shipment records within transportation and logistics systems.

  • Monitor and manage load boards to identify available freight, secure loads, and maximize truck utilization.

  • Track deliveries, ensure on-time performance, and proactively address scheduling or operational challenges.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and drivers to ensure efficient operations and high service standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the logistics or transportation industry, such as with a freight brokerage, trucking carrier, or warehouse operation supporting logistics activities.

  • Experience with dispatching, load boards, or transportation management systems (TMS) preferred.

  • Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, and general database/data entry systems.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple trucks, loads, and driver schedules.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
