• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., carts, lifting devices, forklift, etc.)
• Stay current on trade practices.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair on production equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, etc.).
• Perform new construction and repairs as needed (carpentry, electrical, pipe fitting, plumbing, etc.).
• Perform layout and design work as required.
• Identify equipment and parts by name and number.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints as required.
• Operate required tools and equipment (welder, hand tools, drill press, Oxy‑Acetylene welding and cutting, etc.).
• Accept emergency repair calls as needed.
• Process and maintain records as needed.
• Perform work of an equal or lower classification as needed.
• Keep supervisor informed of material, process and equipment needs and problems.
• Ensure parts and tools are counted and properly marked in their appropriate storage area.
• Notify appropriate personnel of the need to order parts and equipment.
• Perform work in a safe and orderly manner.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School Diploma Equivalency / GED

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
