CDL A Driver Apprentice

This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 48ft tractor trailer, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs.

• CDL Class A required

• $25.50/hr
• Annual performance bonus up to $10,000

• Dispatch times: 5pm-8pm
• Shift end times: 4am-6am
• Weekends required (every Saturday and Sunday)
• Days off:
  Two consecutive days in the middle of the week
• Shift: 10-12 hours per day, approximately
• Stops per route: 20-30 depending on location and route

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows
• Maintain Department of Transportation rules
• Unloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucks
• Provide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during delivery
• Operate a commercial truck safely
• 21+ years of age
• Operate 48 ft. refrigerated tractor trailer with the supervision of an experienced company driver throughout NYC, NJ and CT based on assigned route
• Successfully complete required hours of training and pass all required work, safety knowledge and driving assessments
• Tractor trailer apprentices: 800 hours of training
