Airline Ramp Turnaround Coordinator (EWR)
One step closer to your new career starts here. Hallmark Aviation is seeking professional Airline Ramp Turnaround Coordinators at Newark Liberty International Airport. Paid training provided. Previous airline experience required.
Responsibilities- Responsible for coordinating Weight and Balance documentation with Load Control.
- Maintain daily trip files and station traffic report as well as all aircraft handling data.
- Supervision of ramp functions and operational safety/load security checks on aircraft prior to departure.
- Coordinate all phases of aircraft handling, including catering, cleaning, fueling, crew and passenger boarding/de-boarding.
- Loading/unloading, ensuring correct cargo buildup/preparation for bulk or unit load devices.
- Ensure all cargo or luggage is properly tied down or secured in the compartments.
- Close coordination with gate for boarding and de-boarding related passenger service processes.
- Secure the proper handling of Bagscan.
- Provide daily monitoring report to the Manager about handling performance, document delays and reasons.
- Responsible for LBI (Left Behind Baggage Index) control.
- Ensure implementation of new procedures, processes or product features and enhancements.
- Plan for and ensure that irregularities are always handled in accordance with customer, economic and legal considerations.
- Report any flight handling irregularities.
- Ensure that all aspects of the ground handling operation are in accordance at all times with Safety, Security and Legal regulations.
- Performance and proper documentation of checks performed under the station operations surveillance concept.
- Minimum 12 months airline experience preferred Ramp & Bagroom experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of airline product systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of airline computer systems.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Ability to work in teams and lead ramp team.
- Able to travel for training.
- Previous customer service experience.
- At least 18 years old, with a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- English proficient; other languages may be required.
- Terminal and airport operations knowledge and experience preferred.
- Retail and/or hospitality work experience required.
- Able to stand 3-4 at a time.
- Reading & comprehension of reference materials, instructions, policies & procedures.
- Valid US work authorization.
- Professional demeanor and exceptional presentation.
- Flexible schedule & availability.
- Background check, fingerprinting required.
- Drug screen required prior to the day of hire.
