Java Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Java Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, with proficiency in Spring Boot and AWS services. The candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of modern Dev Ops practices.

• Java Development: Utilize strong Java programming skills to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Spring Boot framework.
• AWS Services: Leverage AWS services such as S3, ECS, SQS, SNS, Neptune, App Sync, Lambda, and RDS to build and deploy cloud-based solutions.
• Dev Ops Practices: Implement modern Dev Ops practices using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gradle, Jenkins, and Git to streamline development processes and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Spring Cloud and AWS Web Services: Develop microservices architecture using Spring Cloud and integrate with AWS web services.
  
  Experience with Graph
  
  QL Clients such as Apollo is a plus.
• Front Office End-User Support: Provide direct support to front office end-users and demonstrate a sound understanding of capital markets within Fixed Income, if applicable.
• Security Concepts: Implement security concepts such as authentication, authorization, and SSL to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data and applications.
• API Management: Design and develop REST API platforms using Apigee/API Management, including implementing security frameworks like JWT and OATH

• API Layers: Configure API layers for security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, and request/response modifications.
• Unix and Linux OS: Utilize experience with Unix and Linux operating systems for development and deployment purposes.
• Agile Processes: Work within Agile processes such as Scrum, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development, with proficiency in Spring Boot and AWS services.
• Proficiency in SQL and modern Dev Ops practices for developers (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gradle, Jenkins, Git).
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Cloud, AWS web services, and Graph
  
  QL Clients such as Apollo.
• Cloud experience working with AWS S3/ECS/SQS/SNS/Neptune/App Sync/Lambda/RDS.
• Familiarity with security concepts and implementation.
• Experience providing ongoing support for technological solutions.
• Experience designing and developing REST API platforms using Apigee/API Management.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., JWT, OATH2) and API layers.
• Experience with Unix and Linux Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with Scrum and other Agile processes.
• Experience with Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins.
• Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger, Redoc, or similar tools is desirable.
