Responsibilities
  • Provide orientation, assessments, and monitoring of participants in evaluation programs, facilitate intakes, and support participants transitioning or in competitive employment.
  • Review new referrals and send out start letters within 5 business days of receiving a new referral at the scheduling of Evaluator.
  • Process and complete intakes for referrals.
  • Follow up on new referrals that do not attend their first or second appointment.
  • Explain and review GW policies, procedures and handbook to new referrals; provide tours.
  • Administer evaluation tests based on participants' interests/needs and at the request of the referral agency and the direction of the Vocational Evaluator.
  • Score and compile vocational test material and evaluation/observation summary reports.
  • Complete case notations daily and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in monitoring consumer performance during on/offsite assessments.
  • Maintain accurate test score records and participate in re-testing as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory of testing materials and order new materials as requested by the Vocational Evaluator.
  • Organize and prioritize daily, weekly and monthly schedules.
  • Complete Individual Employment Plans; determine realistic employment goals with consumers.
  • Translate as needed if fluent in another language.
  • Familiarize with CARF regulations and assist in CARF audits.
  • Attend all staff meetings and perform other duties as required.
  • Serve as a floater for Supported Employment Services.
  • Provide intensive on-the-job training for consumers placed into competitive employment.
  • Assist consumers with job exploration and career development as needed.
  • Contact employers and identify job openings for consumers based on employment goals; conduct employer site visits and complete related paperwork.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED and 1-2 years related work experience (minimum).
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and basic math skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Able to stand, lift a minimum of 30 lbs, read and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or more).
Special Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel with own transportation (in-service areas) required.
  • Location assignments can change with advance notice based on coverage needs.
  • Work in the community in addition to the main office; conditions at employer sites may vary.
  • Full-time shift with some flexibility for periodic weekends and evenings to attend events or cover for a job coach if needed.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Navigate and manage difficult situations.
