Maintenance Worker, HVAC Tech ​/ Heating Engineer, Building Maintenance

Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Worker working 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. Must be able to work one (1) weekend overtime shift per month and some holidays.

Silver Lake Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3-5 day average stay in a general hospital.

Our safe and state of the art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients.

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the general maintenance and repairs of the hospital facility. Tasks include plumbing work, painting/drywall, flooring repair, electrical repair and heating and air conditioning system maintenance.

• 4+ years of handyman experience including HVAC, plumbing, drywall installation, painting, and general building repair.
• Must have experience with hand and power tools.
• Current NJ drivers license required.
• Ability to work one (1) weekend overtime shift per month and some holidays.
